Since 2011 or so, I have been volunteering at Unity 101, South Coast’ leading ethnic radio station, where I co-present and produce a monthly show in Polish. Last night, (8th Jan) Unity 101 has been celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary at the Hub Theatre at City College in Southampton.
Together with my best friend, James Payne, I was very privileged to be invited to their Certificate and Award Night and enjoyed an evening full of entertainment, including fashion show, live performances of Unity 101 Group and dance showcase.
I was also very honoured to receive an award – Organisation Award 2015 for “exceptional achievements”, thanks to a very kind nominated by Southampton Solent University.
It’s my 3rd award now – previously, I have won Southampton’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year (in 2013), whilst Magazyn PL, was named The Student / Graduate Start-up of the Year.
The Award might feature my name of it, however GottaBe!, as an organisation, wouldn’t be where it is today, without my fantastic and hard working team – both those working at our Head Office as well as our handpicked Brand Ambassadors and Event Managers, Partners, suppliers and Clients. At the same time, I also would like to say massive “thank you“ to my family and friends – your support and encouragement is priceless. I am so lucky to have you there, day and night, every day.
Lastly, (a little bit selfish but…) I would like to say thank you to myself! Yes, myself! Over the years, there has been a few occasions, where I might wanted to give up running my own business… I am glad, I didn’t. The journey has been challenging – since 2008, I had a lot of obstacles thrown at me – but every day, I am stronger, better and most importantly, more prepared and experienced.
